Since the lastest update iso files (dvd) can't be played anymore.
Can this be fixed please?

I assume you're running Kodi on Android? If so it's already fixed which be in a future v21.1 release, or if you can't you can download an appropiate build from our mirror servers at https://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/android/ making sure to select Omega within the relevant build type folder.

I downloaded kodi-20240429-625be876-Omega-armeabi-v7a. Doesn't work on my tablet (not compatible on newest versions).

But not on Shield Pro (invalid pathway). Files on hard drive unaccessible.

This is a Android permission issue:

Android Settings -> Apps - Kodi -> Permissions -> Files and Media

and select

Allow all the time

Unfortunately it is not. Meaning that it probably IS an android permission issue, but "allow access all the time" in the android permissions doesn't solve it as it did for the previous versions. Kodi 21.0 on Nvidia Shield.

Quiet right. Even on my Samsung S8 Ultra I can't play Iso files.
On Shield Pro I can't play any video files at all.

If you don't read the replies, it will stay like this.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

But I chose for "allow access all the time" on my Shield Pro, and nevertheless no filels can be played; on my S8 Ultra only iso and dvd files do not play...
