New DVBviewer user
#1
Hello,

I am a long time user of Kodi, but I am new to DVBviewer. After being used to Argus and TVmosaic, DVBviwer has a steep learning curve!

I have DVBviewer running. Media Server is also installed and running. Unfortunately, I could find very little documentation about how to configure and use Media Server.

Kodi can connect to Media Server, but it only gets a list of channels. Some channels also get EPG info. But none of the channels actually play.

A debug log can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14lcFYIL...sp=sharing

It seems that 404 errors occur, file not found.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

TIA

Bart

Make sure the Media Server Webinterface is working correctly before proceeding with Kodi. e.g. EPG is fine, streaming works, etc..

PS: your log isn't publicly available

I can access the webinterface, but there isn't much that I can configure there (which probably shows my newbie ignorance).
I do see that none of the tuners are seen as available. I have set the LNB's as shared in DVBviewer.
Am I supposed to shutdown DVBviewer to allow Media Server to access the tuners?

Sorry about the log. It should be available now.

Thanks!

You should see EPG and should be able to stream livetv. Media Server configuration happens through DVBViewer application. However this forum is about Kodi and the DVBViewer PVR, not about how to set up the DMS. So please head over to http://www.dvbviewer.tv/forum/ and https://de.dvbviewer.tv/

OK, I understand.

But I started here, because my problem showed up first with Kodi.

Thanks!

I found the solution: in the Media Server configuration, as well as the DVBviewer configuration, you have to set te LNB's as shared.

Maybe a bit strange, neither program has anything to do with LNB's, they deal with tuners, but I suppose it is just a matter of terminology.
