Req Kodi on LG Web OS
Hi.

Checking after same time: I still have issues (latest stable release) with remote control input being ignored few minutes after start of an application. Need to use android application for control.

Is anybody else also experiencing this/ found any solution?

Thank you

This happened to me a couple of times when testing, the TV remote stops working in Kodi but Kodi is not frozen as the clock still works and I have to restart Kodi to get it working. I did not test Kore at the time.

Is there any prospect of support for webos 3.9 being reintroduced?

My primary use would be for a PVR add-on, which I understand will not work with the old alpha I have installed.

I would like to install ambilight on webos, but I use Kodi to watch all the content and I have not thought that the TV may not be able to play a movie in Kodi 4k HDR + Piccap + Hyperhdr. I have an A2 Oled. Does anyone use kodi with ambilight?

If you encounter the issue that the audio and video of IPTV Live Stream are out of sync, please refer to.....

I do. I have C1

And is tv managing to play the same file without ambilight?
Try to play with Piccap settings. You can decrease resolution and fps.
Or what is file's bitrate? My TV does not manage to play remuxes that are 100GB big.
Anyway try to ask this on openLgTv discord server.

I have been testing by installing hyperhdr and PicCap without the LEDs. And there are some movies that put the cpu at 85-90%. However, with others it is 50%. I have not noticed any improvement by changing PicCap parameters.

Is there any way to fix the audio sync issue with dolby vision mkv profile 7? I have the newest ipk and still have desync issues on my LG CX. What do you guys do to fix this problem, is there any kodi setting to fix it or certain audio types that doesn't get desynced?

Does anyone know how to automatically run a script to open kodi from USB? I tried this script. I added the kodi file in /var/lib/webosbrew/init.d with 777 rights via filezilla.
Quote:“#!/bin/sh
jailer -S -t native_devmode -p /media/developer/apps/usr/palm/applications/org.xbmc.kodi -i org.xbmc.kodi
mount -o bind /tmp/usb/sda/sda4/.kodi /var/palm/jail/org.xbmc.kodi/media/developer/apps/usr/palm/applications/org.xbmc.kodi/.kodi”
but after restarting the TV I have to run the script manually because it doesn't work. Quick access+ is enabled and I continue to have this problem. Anyone found any solution? Thanks

Ask this on openlgtv discord server https://discord.gg/AXySypkG

This is not something that fits here. This forum thread does not cover lg homebrew community.

I copied the zip file to /media/developer/apps/usr/palm/applications/org.xbmc.kodi/ and installed it via zip and then deleted the zip

I'm unable to connect my tv

I'm entering my tv's local IP address in "host" while keeping username, password & port blank

I tried entering "prisoner" in username but got same results

If, your TV has root, then, the user is root and password is alpine. SSH must be enabled in Homebrew Channel. In FileZilla connection, SSH must be on IP address of your TV port:22.

Is there any way for unrooted tv?
Though I have developer mode enabled on my tv

I also have windows app called "WebOS Dev Mode Manager" which allows copying but I am unable to copy whole folder, I can only copy single file in it

I copied the zip file with this app to /media/developer/apps/usr/palm/applications/org.xbmc.kodi/ and installed it via zip and then deleted the zip

I found out that using bluetooth headphones somehow makes audio/video sync much better, up to the point of being perfect. Could be that Kodi introduces negative delay and bluetooth has an inherent positive delay and they somehow negate each other? Dunno, but I use BT headphones w/ Kodi since I discovered the thing and have a blast rewatching stuff in DV. My TV is LG C1.
Also found out that switching audio track to AC3/EAC instead of any type of DTS (usually TrueHD) made sync better, but didn't eliminate it completely.

I use -375 audio delay without a passthrough on my LG CX and every format works flawlessly. If you wanna fast forward a movie/tvshow just pause it then audio will not be delayed
