How to add wifi support ?
#1
Hello,

I'm on LibreElec and it doesn't support my wifi card by default, i doesn't even appears in the connections setting.

So i have 2 question:
1) Is it possible to add a such support with a file ?
2) If so, how do i know wich file i'm supposed to download since i don't know the exact model of the said wifi card ?

https://www.nixcraft.com/t/how-do-i-find...linux/4134

then feed it into a search engine with the format "does libreelec support (insert device id/name/whatever here)"

or more generically "libreelec (insert device id/name/whatever here)"

since its linux based, it is generally expected users who wish to do advanced level configuration know some linux or are able to figure it out from tutorials

it would be compiled into the kernel or as a kernel module

you wont know if the device supported if you dont even know what the device is, the link i gave you should fill in that information

this would be the operation if it has not been compiled to support your device - https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/add-remove...el-modules

After some research, i finally found the firmware and it is now saved into the folder /usr/lib/firmware, but my wifi is still not working.

Sorry for the DP, but the post can't be modified or deleted.

In short:
-My wifi card is detected by the lspci command.
-The firmware exists in the firmwares folder
-Lsmod says the module rtw_8822be is loaded

But despite that, my wifi persists to not working.
