Does it support both 23.976 and 24.000 frame rates or do both modes switch to the same value of 23.976 like on the older 2018 4K stick?  Also for 59.940 vs. 60.000.  You can test this by manually selecting both display modes and seeing if your TV momentarily loses HDMI signal while switching from 23.976 to 24.000.  If both modes are exactly the same, then you will not see any HDMI signal loss.

I only tested it briefly and it looked subjectively good (enough). Will test it more scientifically like you suggested.

On firestick 4k not max, there is some changes , because in:

With google drive addon, video is impossible to play.

In according to this github, need to disable https2

Test:

On Windows, kodi 19.3 without http2, video from google drive, doesn't works.

Disable http2, works.

On firestick, doesn't works anyway.

Is a bug or what ?

EDIT:

with this one http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/arm/kodi-20211120-c497b6f6-fix-android-thd-matrix-armeabi-v7a.apk

Seems that works on firestick 4k not max

Does this support output of native TrueHD/DTS HD MA via HDMI (no downmixing bs)? I would be directly connecting this to a AVR.

So, are there settings (both on Kodi and in Fire TV menus) that give correct DD+ pass-through? (I don't care about HD audio at the moment).

but exist an hardware that works well with kodi with all functions?

so 4k HDR and passthrough  for all codecs?

Because on x86 seems a distaster also only for 4k hdr, on firestick trouble about passthrough audio and hdr seems weirds about colors, so what device is full compatible ?

exoplayer is "system player", it's integrate into android OS. It's a system player used by VOD app.

andorid have lot of "system player": exoplayer, android media player , omxplayer  and media codec used by KODI.

Thanks so much for the response.

Which build should I choose?
I have a Firestick 4k max running Kodi 19.3.

Also how do I install the correct build? Delete my current Kodi version and install the web address of the correct build via downloader and this will put a different Kodi version on my Firestick that will play dv mkv properly?

I'm not sure one can really recommend the Vero 4K+ any more. Dolby Vision isn't supported in any form, and that's becoming more and more common; there's no support for AV1; and there seem to be an increasing number of things it used to be able to do, but now can't: hardware deinterlacing got badly broken in the first Matrix release; so did VC-1 playback; and it can no longer handle HLG properly; and it also sometimes skips frames on 4K/60fps stuff. And it's badly limited for paid-for Internet streaming services.

On the plus side it usually does a good job with h.264/AVC, h.265/HEVC, and VP9 (including VP9 profile 2); it can pass through all HD audio formats; it can play most 3D blu ray remuxes correctly (which is quite rare); and it passes through HDR10 metadata correctly, and supports HDR10Plus.

I get the MAX for 3 days and i am very Happy with this. I used on LG OLEDC17 and all working fine with Mavens Kodi Build with Dolby Vision too. For the Black Deal Price the best Stick.

What do I have to do in Kodi or MAX so that the LG takes over the processing at every resolution?
